Nothing provokes debate amongst lecturers more than Powerpoint. When I was a student I attended lectures, even if doing so involved heroic attempts to fight a hangover. I also had to write copious notes, many of which included complicated molecular structures. Talking to lecturers from various universities you hear of students turning up without pens, expect to have lecture notes prior to the lecture (ruining any attempts at spontaneity, interest or levity) or don’t turn up assuming the Powerpoint files are the lecture (they are not). You hear mumblings about a return to chalk and talk.
Still, my hard-won Powerpoint skills are nothing in comparison to those of Powerpoint Ninja Doug Zongker. Watch the master at work. Watch how he effortlessly deals with questions at the end.
